Currency Converter

Convert world currencies with live exchange rates. Our free currency converter supports USD, EUR, GBP, PKR, INR and 150+ currencies with up-to-date rates.

About this tool

Exchange rates change every day, which makes converting money by hand unreliable. Whether you are shopping from an international store, planning a trip abroad, sending money to family or checking the value of an invoice, you need the latest rate, not last month's.

Our free currency converter fetches live exchange rates and converts any amount instantly. Pick the currency you have and the currency you want, enter the amount, and the tool shows the converted value plus the current rate. It supports more than 150 world currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, PKR and INR.

How to use

Using the currency converter is simple. Enter the amount in the first field, then choose the source currency and the target currency from the dropdowns. Press Convert and the result appears right away, together with the exchange rate used.

When the page loads, the tool downloads the latest rates automatically. If the rates cannot load because you are offline, you will see a clear message instead of a wrong number. Just reconnect and try again.

The math behind it

All conversions go through the US dollar, which is the base of the rate feed. Each currency has a rate that says how many units equal one dollar. To convert, the tool first divides your amount by the source currency rate to get dollars, then multiplies by the target currency rate.

For example, if 1 USD equals 0.92 EUR, then 100 USD becomes 92 EUR. Rates are mid-market reference rates and update regularly; banks and money changers may add their own fees on top.

Frequently asked questions

Where do the exchange rates come from?
The converter uses a free public exchange-rate feed that publishes mid-market reference rates for more than 150 currencies. The rates refresh regularly, so the numbers you see reflect the current market. They are reference rates; your bank or transfer service may apply a margin or fee.
Why is the rate different from my bank's rate?
Banks and money transfer services add a margin to the mid-market rate and often charge fees. Our converter shows the mid-market reference rate, which is the fair baseline. The amount you actually receive from a bank will usually be slightly less after their margin.
Does the currency converter work offline?
No. Live rates need an internet connection to download when the page loads. If the rates cannot load, the tool shows an error message instead of guessing. Once loaded, conversions themselves are instant.
