PDF Merger

Free PDF merger. Combine two or more PDF files into one single document right in your browser. Fast, private, no watermarks or signup needed.

About this tool

Scattered PDFs are a hassle: three attachments instead of one report, separate invoices instead of one file. A PDF merger combines multiple documents into a single PDF in the order you choose, so everything stays together.

This free tool merges your files entirely in the browser. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is watermarked, and your files never leave your device. It is the fastest way to tidy up a pile of PDFs.

How to use

Click the file button and select two or more PDFs. Most systems let you select several files at once by holding Ctrl or Cmd while clicking. The files merge in the order your system lists them, so rename them like 01.pdf and 02.pdf first if order matters.

Click Merge PDFs, wait a moment, then download the combined document. Every page from every file is preserved exactly as it was, in one clean file ready to email or archive.

The math behind it

Merging a PDF means copying page objects from several documents into one new document. This tool reads each file, copies every page, including its text, images and fonts, into a fresh PDF, and writes the result.

Because pages are copied rather than re-rendered, the content stays identical to the originals. Fonts and images travel along with their pages, so the merged file looks exactly like the separate files did, just joined together.

Frequently asked questions

How many PDFs can I merge at once?
There is no hard limit in the tool itself; it processes whatever files you select, one after another. In practice, very large merges with hundreds of pages can use a lot of browser memory, so for giant jobs, merge in batches of ten or twenty files and then merge the results.
Can I control the order of the merged pages?
Yes. Files are merged in the order your file picker provides them, which usually follows the selection order or alphabetical order. The reliable trick is to rename your files with numbered prefixes, like 01-contract.pdf and 02-appendix.pdf, before selecting them.
Are bookmarks and form fields preserved?
Page content, images and fonts are fully preserved. Interactive extras like bookmarks, form fields and annotations may not carry over, since the tool copies pages rather than every document-level feature. For plain reading, printing and archiving, the merged file is perfect.
