Salary Calculator

Free salary calculator: convert pay between hourly, weekly, monthly, and annual figures. Compare job offers side by side in seconds, gross pay.

About this tool

Job offers quote pay in different ways - one says $25 an hour, another says $52,000 a year. Comparing them in your head is harder than it looks, especially once weekly hours enter the picture.

Enter any pay figure and this salary calculator converts it into hourly, weekly, monthly, and annual equivalents side by side, so offers become directly comparable.

How to use

Type the pay amount, select whether it is hourly, weekly, monthly, or annual, and enter your hours per week (40 is standard full-time).

Press Calculate Salary. You will see all four figures at once - perfect for comparing a $30/hour contract against a $58,000 salary.

The math behind it

Everything converts through the hourly rate: weekly pay divided by hours gives hourly; hourly times hours times 52 gives annual; annual divided by 12 gives monthly.

For example, $25/hour at 40 hours a week = $1,000/week = $52,000/year = about $4,333/month before taxes.

Frequently asked questions

Does this include taxes?
No - these are gross (pre-tax) figures. Your take-home pay depends on income tax, social security, and any deductions, which vary by country and state. Our paycheck calculator estimates the after-tax number.
How do overtime hours affect the math?
Overtime is usually paid at 1.5x the hourly rate. If you regularly work overtime, calculate your base pay here, then add overtime separately: overtime hours x hourly rate x 1.5.
What is a good salary benchmark?
It depends entirely on your role, experience, and location. Sites like Glassdoor and levels.fyi publish real salary data by job title and city - compare this calculator's annual figure against those ranges before negotiating.
